Nutritional Information

100% certified organic:

Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum semen): A traditional galactagogue which means its helps increase the flow of breast milk.  It also helps to reduce baby’s gas which eases griping and wind issues.

Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla herba):  A herb specifically helpful for new mothers due to its wound-healing properties that help to ease afterbirth pains, heal the womb and prevent infection.  It is a well-known relaxant of the digestive tract helping reduce indigestion, gastritis and colic experienced by both mother and baby.

Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare semen): Used since ancient Greek times to promote the flow of breast milk and aid digestion.  When passed on to the baby during feeding it helps relieve excess gas as well as relax spasms in the digestive tract.  Fennel is especially useful as a treatment for infant colic.

Nettle (Urtica dioica herba): Helps stimulate milk production and increase the nutritious quality of breast milk.  It is beneficial after birth to reduce inflammation, helps stop excessive bleeding from the womb and treats anaemia.  Nettle is a cleansing herb and improves detoxification to help prevent urinary tract infections.

Raspberry leaf (Rubus idaeus herba): Traditionally used from early pregnancy to post birth. Raspberry leaf is a nutrient rich galactagogue, an agent that induces milk secretion. When taken regularly after birth, raspberry leaf helps to tone and strengthen the pelvic tissue supporting the recovery of the strained pelvic floor muscles. It ensures a speedy recovery from birth by supporting uterine involution and helps lessen uterine pain.
