Harbour Co-op Logo Competition

Harbour Co-op needs a logo! The pumpkins aren’t ours to use and, although we are sad to see them go, we’re looking forward to branding our new co-op with a new logo. And we’re inviting you to get on board and design the new logo for us! The logo design competition is open from 24 March 2012 to 30 April 2012.

Competition Rules


The contest is open to everyone except Harbour Co-op Board members who are judging the competition and therefore are not eligible.

Contest Rules & Guidelines

Participants can email their entries to harbourcoop@gmail.com or post their entry to Logo Design Competition, PO Box 147, Lyttelton 8841 or drop their entry into the Lyttel Piko shop at 12 London Street, Lyttelton.
Participants may submit a digital logo or a paper logo.
Entries must include the full name and contact details of the participant.
All entries are due on the 30 April 2012 at 12 midnight. Any entries submitted after the due date and time will not be accepted.
Submitted logos must have the words “Harbour Co-op”.
Entrants can enter an unlimited number of entries.
Entry is free of charge.

Intellectual Property

Submissions must be the original creations of the entrant. If a particular submission violates any copyright laws or is not the original work of the entrant, the entrant will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
The winner of the competition transfers all intellectual property rights in relation to their winning entry, to the Harbour Co-op.
Harbour Co-op reserves the rights to edit the winner’s artwork if and when necessary and to display the logo publicly on Harbour Co-op's website, Facebook page, printed materials, shop signage, and in any other way or place that the Harbour Co-op determines.

Judging and Selection of Winner

The logo competition will be judged by the Harbour Co-op Board of Directors. The Board of Directors may appoint independent persons to join the judging panel.
Decisions made by the judges are final.
Entries will be judged based on overall creativity, concept, visual impact, as well as the appropriateness for use in the various ways that we envisage using the logo e.g. printed on fabric, printed on paper, signage, the web, price stickers.
The judges reserve the right to not adopt the winning logo as the logo of Harbour Co-op.


The winner will receive a gift hamper from Harbour Co-op to the value of $100.
The winner will also be profiled on our website www.harbourcoop.co.nz


Entering the contest constitutes the participant’s agreement and acceptance of the rules and regulations for the Harbour Co-op Logo Design contest outlined above. Any participant who violates any of the competition rules in any way will be immediately disqualified from the competition.
